Ci siamo conosciuti durante una cena.
Nessuno dei due sapeva il nome dell'altro.
Dopo un'ora passata a parlare dei nostri sogni, delle nostre speranze, dei nostri progetti futuri, ci siamo ritrovati abbracciati l'uno all'altra con le labbra fuse tra loro per un tempo indefinito.
Tutto sembrava essersi fermato: soltanto la tempesta di emozioni dentro di me era in moto; mai mi ero sentito cosi' libero di esprimerle.
Ad un tratto le sue labbra si staccano dalle mie: lei inizia a singhiozzare, a piangere, mi dice che non potrebbe mai funzionare tra di noi.
La stringo ancora di piu' a me: le chiedo il perche'.
Lei si ripara tra le mie braccia e con voce spezzata mi dice: "i tuoi amici dicono che sono brutta.."

E poi?

E poi mi sveglio.
